We are excited to welcome Rev. Tabatha D. Johnson as our featured speaker for this year’s Disciples Women’s Retreat. Rev. Tabatha has served as a pastor and chaplain for over twenty-three years and is currently the Senior Pastor at Shawnee Community Christian Church in the Greater Kansas City Region. She brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep love for walking alongside others in their faith journeys. A graduate of UMKC and Central Baptist Theological Seminary, she is also the coeditor of
Still A Mother: Journeys Through Perinatal Bereavement.
Our 2025 retreat theme, “Let’s Journey Together,” invites us to approach our time as a sacred pilgrimage—an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and open ourselves to the Spirit’s movement. Through worship, study, fellowship, and spiritual practices, Rev. Tabatha will help us explore what it means to journey not as tourists, but as pilgrims—rooted in faith, connected in community, and open to transformation.
