Let’s Journey Together…
Pilgrimage, or traveling as a spiritual practice, has long been part of Christian tradition. While Pilgrimage once involved long distances, today we can adopt an attitude of pilgrimage whether we are traveling close by or far away.
We often use the metaphor “journey” for our spiritual life, and our spiritual practices help us along this journey throughout our life. Spiritual practices are not things which happen accidentally, rather they are intentional moments that nourish our curiosity, bring us comfort, stretch our imagination, reflect on our interior and exterior world, challenge our perspectives, and help us experience the Spirit at work.
How can we journey together for this short time? Encouraging one another to be travelers in transformative ways—engaging our journey not as tourists, but as pilgrims—open to experiencing our environment and our faith in new ways.

Our 2025 Spring Retreat was a beautiful time of connection, reflection, and renewal. We were blessed to have 32 women in attendance, each bringing their unique spirit and energy to the weekend. Through heartfelt worship, meaningful conversations, and shared laughter, we truly felt the presence of God moving among us. We are also grateful to share that over $1,300 was collected in offerings, which will go toward supporting the continued mission and ministry of Disciples Women. Thank you to everyone who made this retreat so special!
Our General Offering was $1,311.00. It was split:
-- Tall Oaks Capital Fund 40% $525.00
-- Shelter KC Women's Center 40% $524.00
-- DWM Speakers Fund 20% $262.00
