HERE IS A RECAP OF OUR SPRING DAY OF SERVING

We had approximately 38 women join us for Saturday of Service & Sharing on March 9th, 2024 at Tall Oaks.  We heard from Synergy Services about the services that they provide in the KC Metro area aimed at victims of domestic violence.
We heard an update on Tall Oaks from Rev. Lara Blackwood- Pickrel.  And there was a time of sharing about the different ways DWM women are serving in their own communities.  There was also time for crafts and worship.

Our total offerings from the fall retreat were $1451.

$655 was directed to Tall Oaks.  This included memorial donations in honor of Dot Barrett.

We received $141 of specified offerings and $655 of general offerings.

The General Offerings were split 20% to the Speaker’s Fund, 40% to Synergy Services and 40% to local school districts to help pay down the mounting school lunch debt after the COVID federal waiver program ended in 2022.

The total offering sent to Synergy Services was $302.

The total for school lunch debt was $363 (three checks of $121 went to the Grandview, Hickman Mills and Belton school districts).

And finally, $131 went to our Speakers Fund.

All offering disbursements have been completed.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Hicks, Spring 2024 Retreat Chair

Kelly Wargo, DWM Treasurer

Please bring your blessing boxes for Tall Oaks Donations to the Fall Retreat. If you cannot attend, someone from your church might bring it for you.
